Founded in 1853 in Obernkirchen, Germany, Bornemann is a traditional manufacturer of rotary positive displacement pumps and the developer of cost effective, high-tech solutions for the pumping of viscous and multiphase fluids.

In 1934 they patented the Twin-Spindle Pump with external bearings. In the 60's the development of the Triple-Spindle and Progressive Cavity Pumps collaborated to the advent of new technological solutions. And finally in the 80's, Bornemann commercially launched its line of Multiphase Pumps, being a world pioneer in the development of pumps for this type of application.
